More about this game

Your goal is to master the Present Simple tense by completing grammar drills across four learning stations: Verb Forge, Question Tower, Negation Gate, and Sentence Builder. Walk up to a station to start a drill, which involves answering multiple-choice questions or building sentences from word tiles. You need to get at least two out of three questions right to clear a station. The game has three levels, and clearing all four stations advances you to the next level.

Tips
  • Build a streak by answering correctly in a row. You get 10 base points for a correct answer, plus up to 20 bonus points for a streak of four or more.
  • If you fail a station by getting fewer than two questions right, you can retry it immediately with a completely fresh set of three questions.
  • When building sentences at the Sentence Builder station, remember that adverbs of frequency like always or usually go before the main action verb.
Questions

How do I move my character?

You can use the on-screen joystick in the bottom left corner, or simply tap or click directly on the ground or a specific station to walk there automatically.

What happens if I get a question wrong?

Your streak resets to zero, and the game shows you the correct answer along with the specific grammar rule you missed. You still need two out of three correct to pass.

What do the different levels teach?

Level 1 covers basic verbs and do/does questions. Level 2 introduces spelling rules like -es and -ies. Level 3 covers adverbs of frequency, wh-questions, and short answers.
