How to play
- Select a shape like a wedge or arch from the bottom palette to make it active.
- Tap or click on the canvas to place the shape, or drag it directly from the palette.
- Drag placed shapes to move them around, or use the delete tool to remove unwanted pieces.
- Use the rotation buttons to turn the selected piece in 15-degree increments to fit your design.
- Toggle the grid or snap settings at the top of the screen for precise 88-pixel alignment.

Sable Sandbox is a creative building tool where you construct designs using black geometric pieces. There are no goals, enemies, or timers. You simply place blocks, slabs, towers, wedges, disks, arches, and beams onto the canvas. The sandbox supports up to 80 pieces at once. You can toggle grid snapping for precise alignment or build freeform. Every run ends only when you decide to clear the canvas and start a new design.
Tips
- Use the grid snapping feature to align blocks and towers perfectly when building tall structures. The default 88-pixel grid keeps everything flush.
- If you make a mistake, use the undo button to revert your last action. The game remembers your last 32 moves, allowing easy corrections.
- You can rotate shapes by 15-degree increments using the rotation buttons, but dragging with two fingers allows you to twist pieces into custom angles.
Questions
How many pieces can I place?
You can place up to 80 pieces on the canvas at one time. Once you reach this limit, you must delete existing shapes before adding any new ones.
How do I delete a shape?
Select the trash can icon in the palette to enter delete mode, then tap a shape to remove it. Alternatively, select a shape and press the Backspace key.
Can I turn off the grid?
Yes, you can toggle the grid visibility and the snapping behavior using the top menu buttons. Turning off snapping lets you place pieces freely without locking to the grid.
