More about this game
Your goal is to complete a constellation by connecting its stars in the exact correct order. You must start at the glowing star and trace a continuous path to the next highlighted point. To keep the tracing fresh, the game randomly rotates the star patterns by a slight angle and scales them between 91% and 104% of their normal size. Once all points are connected, the run ends by revealing the constellation's name, its Latin meaning, and a set of real astronomical facts.
Tips
- You must start exactly on the glowing star with a 64-pixel hit radius, or the game will warn you to start on the glowing star.
- The tracing line has a 22 percent magnetic pull strength, so you do not need to be perfectly precise when dragging toward the next point.
- Some constellations have branched shapes, meaning the line will automatically break and start a new segment from a previous star when needed.
Questions
Are the constellations real?
Yes, the game uses data from IAU constellation and star-name records. The star positions are cross-checked with Gaia DR3 and SIMBAD using ICRS coordinates.
How many constellations are there?
There are 12 different constellations to discover in the celestial archive, including Orion, Ursa Major, Cassiopeia, Cygnus, Lyra, Scorpius, Andromeda, Pegasus, Leo, Taurus, Gemini, and Canis Major.
Can I see the constellations I have finished?
Yes, tap the collection button to view the shapes and field notes for every constellation you have completed. Your discoveries are saved automatically to your device.
