The core loop involves pressing and holding on the 1320 by 2112 canvas to place a fingerprint. The longer you hold, the larger the print grows at a speed of 235 units per second, up to a maximum size. Each print receives a random color and a slight rotation. There is no difficulty curve or end state; you just clear the board to restart.
Tips
- Quick taps will leave small fingerprints starting at size 120, which is perfect for adding tiny details to your artwork.
- Hold down your input until the print stops growing to reach the maximum size of 570, which is great for filling large background areas.
- Layer your prints over each other; the 67 percent ink opacity and multiply blend mode allow overlapping colors to mix nicely.
Questions
How do I change the color of the ink?
You do not need to select colors manually. Every time you start a new fingerprint, the game automatically selects a random hue with varying saturation and lightness.
Can I make the fingerprints smaller than the default?
The minimum starting size is 120. To keep your fingerprints as small as possible, release your touch or click immediately after pressing the canvas.
How do I erase a single mistake?
You cannot erase individual fingerprints once they are stamped. You can only use the Clear button at the bottom to wipe the entire 1320 by 2112 canvas completely fresh.
