More about this game
In Cube Capture: Fresh Grid, your goal is to claim more territory than the computer opponent within a strict 60-second time limit. You and your rival move continuously across a 10x10 grid, capturing tiles simply by moving over them. The core loop involves navigating the board, cutting off your opponent's path, and collecting power-ups that grant massive speed boosts or instantly capture surrounding areas. The match ends exactly when the 60-second timer hits zero, and the player with the highest percentage of captured tiles wins the round.
Tips
- Prioritize collecting the purple area power-ups, as they instantly capture a 3x3 grid around you, securing up to nine tiles at once without needing to move.
- Grab the yellow speed boosts to increase your movement speed by 1.85 times for 4.2 seconds, allowing you to quickly cover ground and trap your rival.
- Keep an eye on the board for new items, as a fresh power-up spawns on a random free cell every 5.5 seconds up to a maximum of six.
Questions
How long does a single match last?
Each match lasts for exactly 60 seconds. You can track the remaining time on the blue timer card located at the top center of the screen.
What do the different power-ups do?
There are two types of power-ups: yellow speed boosts increase your movement speed by 1.85 times for 4.2 seconds, and purple area fills instantly capture a 3x3 area around your cube.
How do I win the match?
You win by having a higher percentage of the 100 total tiles captured than the computer opponent when the 60-second timer runs out. Overwriting your opponent's tiles reduces their score.
