More about this game

Aether Chess is a tactical puzzle game where you control the Apex Warrior on a 6x6 grid. Your goal is to capture all enemy pieces before your move budget reaches zero. The movement rules change each turn based on the Active Movement Law, cycling through classic chess pieces like the Rook, Bishop, Knight, Queen, and King. Crystals block your path, adding to the challenge. If you run out of moves before clearing the board, the level ends and you must restart.

Tips
  • Look ahead at the upcoming movement laws to plan your path. The sequence repeats, so you can anticipate future turns.
  • Prioritize capturing enemies that might be hard to reach with the next movement law.
  • Use the restart button (or press R) if you realize your current path won't let you capture all enemies in time.
Questions

What do the crystals do?

Crystals act as solid obstacles on the grid. You cannot move onto or through a tile that contains a crystal.

How do I know where I can move?

Legal moves are highlighted on the board. The available tiles depend on the current Active Movement Law and the position of crystals.

What happens if I run out of moves?

If your move budget reaches zero and enemies are still on the board, you lose the level and must restart it.
