More about this game
In this narrative experience, you guide Belinda through an unannounced visit from her family. Your goal is to maintain her emotional state across five chapters of conversation. Every choice you make impacts her Patience and Sanity meters, which start at 74 and 78 respectively. Setting boundaries might lower patience but preserve sanity, while appeasing others drains both meters significantly. The run ends either when you complete all five chapters to see one of several endings, or immediately if either meter hits zero.
Tips
- Setting direct boundaries often boosts your Sanity by up to 12 points, even if it costs a few Patience points. Prioritize your Sanity to unlock the best possible ending.
- Appeasing Sally drains both meters heavily, sometimes costing up to 15 Patience and 12 Sanity in a single choice. Avoid passive responses if you want to survive the afternoon.
- Watch the delta numbers that float up after a choice to learn which types of responses help Belinda recover her stats. Use this feedback to guide your future decisions.
Questions
How many chapters are in the game?
There are exactly five chapters in total, representing different moments during the afternoon visit from 3:17 pm to 4:18 pm. You must navigate through all of them without letting your stats drop to zero to see a successful conclusion.
What happens if a meter runs out?
If either your Patience or Sanity meter drops to zero, Belinda suffers an emotional breakdown. This immediately ends the visit and the game before you can finish the story, forcing you to restart from the very beginning.
Are there different endings?
Yes, surviving all five chapters unlocks different endings based on your final Sanity score and how many boundaries you successfully set during the various conversations. A Sanity score above 65 with at least two boundaries yields the best result.
