More about this game

In Ether Below, you control a wizard trapped in a dark dungeon, facing endless waves of spirits. Your spells cast automatically every 0.62 seconds, dealing 18 base damage to the nearest enemy. Defeated spirits drop gems that grant experience. Collecting enough gems levels you up, letting you choose one of three random upgrades like extra bolts, faster casting, or a damaging orbit. The horde grows stronger and faster over time, with waves advancing every 20 seconds. The run ends when your 100 HP is completely depleted.

Tips
  • Keep moving constantly to avoid getting surrounded, especially when the faster swarm enemies appear after 12 seconds. They have 66 base speed compared to the standard 35.
  • The Deep Magic upgrade increases all spell damage by 35 percent, while Quick Incantation reduces your cast time by 20 percent. Combine them to maximize your damage output.
  • Taking the Second Breath upgrade restores 35 HP and boosts your movement speed by 10 percent. Your maximum speed caps at 235, helping you outrun late-game swarms.
Questions

How do I attack enemies?

Your wizard casts spells automatically at the nearest enemy every 0.62 seconds. You only need to focus on moving and dodging. The Forked Lightning upgrade adds extra bolts.

How do I heal my wizard?

You can restore 35 HP by selecting the Second Breath upgrade when you level up. There are no health drops on the ground, so avoid taking damage whenever possible.

What happens when time passes?

The game gets harder. Enemy health increases with each wave, which advances every 20 seconds. Their movement speed also scales up continuously as time goes on, capping at 55 bonus speed.
