More about this game
Your goal is to survive as long as possible in a hostile dimension by balancing your health and sanity. The core loop alternates between making difficult choices in text-based events and fighting nightmarish enemies in turn-based combat. Difficulty increases as your encounter streak grows, with powerful two-phase bosses appearing every five encounters. A run ends immediately if either your health or your sanity drops to zero.
Tips
- Using the Focus action in combat restores sanity and reduces the damage of the enemy's next attack by around sixty percent.
- Bosses enter a dangerous second phase when their health drops below half, activating unique abilities like ignoring your guard.
- Keep an eye on your supplies; spending one during combat restores 22 health and 10 sanity if you lack an active artifact.
Questions
What happens when I equip an artifact?
You can hold up to two artifacts at a time. If you equip a third, it will replace one of your existing slots. Artifacts provide passive stat boosts or active combat abilities.
How do I heal my character?
You can restore health by making specific choices during text events, spending a supply point during combat, or using the Chronicle Coil artifact if equipped.
Why did my run end suddenly?
Your run ends if either your health or your sanity reaches zero. You must carefully balance both stats during events and combat to survive longer.
