The Shattered Bond is an interactive drama where you guide Lisa through a tense conversation with her estranged sister, Sally. Your goal is to navigate the dialogue by selecting responses that manage three key stats: Trust, Tension, and Insight, which max out at 12. The difficulty lies in balancing these stats; defensive answers apply a penalty that spikes Tension. A run ends when you complete all five chapters or if Tension reaches 10 while Trust is 2 or lower, resulting in one of three possible endings.
Tips
- Keep a close eye on the Tension meter; if it hits 10 while Trust is 2 or lower, the conversation ends abruptly in a fracture.
- Aim to build both Trust and Insight to 8 or higher while keeping Tension below 10 to unlock the Genuine Understanding reconciliation ending.
- Consider the emotional weight of your choices carefully, as defensive answers apply a penalty that increases Tension by 2 points.
Questions
How many endings are there?
There are three possible endings: Genuine Understanding, A Door Left Open, and The Bond Remains Shattered. The ending you receive depends entirely on your final Trust, Tension, and Insight levels after five chapters.
What happens if Tension gets too high?
If Tension reaches the hostility limit of 10 and Trust is at 2 or lower, the conversation will immediately end in a fracture, giving you the Dead-end ending before you finish all chapters.
What are the starting stats for the conversation?
The conversation begins with Trust at 3, Tension at 4, and Insight at 1. Every choice you make will adjust these numbers, and each stat can reach a maximum of 12.
