Your goal is to defend the bastion gate from advancing enemy waves. In each turn, you drag to aim and release a projectile that bounces off walls to bypass enemy shields and trigger multi-kills. After you shoot, the surviving enemies advance one row closer to your gate. The difficulty increases as wind curves your shots and new enemy types like shielded guards and flying gargoyles appear. A run ends when you clear all three waves or when enemies deplete your gate's health to zero.
Tips
- Bank shots off walls to multiply your projectile speed and force by 1.15x, allowing you to bypass the frontal shields of heavy guards.
- Watch the wind indicator, as it curves your projectile arcs. Wind strength can reach up to 2.5, significantly altering your aiming trajectory.
- Hit gunpowder barrels to trigger explosions that deal 45 base damage to clustered enemies within a 3.25 radius, clearing out multiple threats at once.
Questions
How do I defeat shielded enemies?
Shielded enemies block all frontal damage. You must use wall ricochets to bank your shots and hit their unarmored back flanks to deal critical damage and bypass their defenses.
What happens when enemies reach the bottom?
When enemies reach the gate, they deal damage to it. Infantry deal 14 damage, siege ladders deal 24, and bosses deal 34 damage. If your gate health reaches zero, you lose.
How do I unlock Act II?
You need to earn 12 out of 15 mastery stars in Act I to unlock the Frostpeak Ramparts. Earn stars by clearing stages, getting double-ricochet kills, and keeping gate health at 100%.
